Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds, reschedules or cancellations are provided for services offered by the rebirth doula. This policy is designed to be fair, transparent and compliant with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Scope

This policy applies to all services offered by the rebirth doula, including:

  • Online Tarot and Oracle readings (The Spark, The Ember, The Flame)

  • In-person Tarot and Oracle readings (The Rebirth Reading)

  • In-person Reiki sessions (The Restoration Session)

Client Cancellations and Reschedules

We understand that life is unpredictable. We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your session.

  • More than 48 hours' notice — Full reschedule offered at no additional cost, or a full refund if preferred.

  • Less than 48 hours' notice — A 50% cancellation fee applies. The remaining 50% may be applied as a credit toward a future session.

  • Non-attendance without notice — The full session fee applies and no refund or credit will be issued.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us directly through your booking confirmation email as soon as possible..

In-Person Sessions — Additional Notes

For The Rebirth Reading and The Restoration Session (Reiki), which are delivered in person and involve additional preparation, we ask for a minimum of 72 hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules where possible. The same fee structure as above applies.

Cancellation by the rebirth doula

In the rare event that we need to cancel or reschedule your session, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered either:

  • A full reschedule at a time that suits you, or

  • A full refund of the amount paid

We will never cancel without offering one of these options.

Refunds

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe following approval. We are committed to handling all refund requests fairly and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund or remedy if a service has a major failure — that is, if it is not delivered as described or does not meet acceptable quality standards.

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • The session has been delivered in full

  • Cancellation is made with less than 72 / 48 hours' notice (partial fee applies as outlined above)

  • Non-attendance without notice

Review & Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure alignment with Australian Consumer Law and best practice. The current version will always be available at therebirthdoula.com.au.
